                  Security Conversion Utility 1.1 <ASP>
           
Thank you for your interest in the Security Conversion Utility (SCU).
SCU is a utility which helps convert many popular stock file formats into 
your favorite format.  Formats supported include: Prodigy, CompuServe, 
America Online, and Quicken.  In addition, special support is provided for 
the Security Information used by Larax Software's Wall Street Simulator.  
This allows for easy update of market prices used in your simulation.


INSTALLATION

To install this version of the Security Conversion Utility, follow these 
steps:

      1.  Start Microsoft Windows
      2.  From the File Manager, locate "SETUP.EXE" included with SCU.
      3.  Execute "SETUP.EXE" by Double-clicking on it.

The Setup routine will install all necessary files except the Visual Basic 
Runtime file.  The following file must be located in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory: 

        VBRUN300.DLL  

This file has NOT been supplied with the Security Conversion Utility.  If you 
do not have this file, you can download it from the WINSHARE forum - Library 1
on CompuServe (Filename is VBRUN3.ZIP).  It is also located in the Windows
forum of America Online (usually under "Top Picks"). If you do not have access
to CompuServe either of these on-line services, you can drop a quick note to
Larax Software at any of the addresses above and a copy of it will be sent to
you.


RUNNING THE PROGRAM

The installation process will set up a program group entitled "Security 
Conversion Utility".  Icons for the Security Conversion Utility program, help
file, and Readme.txt file will be setup.  Double-Click the program icon to 
execute the Security Conversion Utility.

You can also locate the file SCU.EXE from the File Manager and 
double-click it.  Refer to your Windows Manual for additional information
on executing programs.

Once you have started the Security Conversion Utility, click the Help 
button to view the on-line help file.


FINALLY

Enjoy the program and please remember, if you like the Security Conversion 
Utility and plan to use it, please register it.  The registration fee
is $5.  Registration brings our thanks plus a $5 credit towards the 
registration of any other Larax Software package.  You can register by 
sending a check or money order for $5 to the address above.

You can also register the Security Conversion Utility by using CompuServe's 
Shareware Registration facility (GO SWREG ; Registration ID # 4211).
However, because of minimums imposed by CompuServe, the registration fee is 
$10.  Therefore, you will receive a $10 credit towards the registration of 
any other Larax Software package.  The registration fee will be charged 
directly to your CompuServe account.
